Automatically post updates from blogs, etc. (RSS auto-posting)
With "RSS Auto-Posting," you can automatically post to X (Twitter) when your website or blog is updated, using RSS feeds. This section explains the overview, mechanism, and important notes of this feature.
The number of posting settings, fetch interval, and maximum number of posts vary depending on your plan. For details on plans, please refer to the Pricing Plans.
Overview of RSS Auto-Posting
When you add an RSS Auto-Posting setting, SocialDog periodically checks the RSS feed and posts to your X account if new articles are found.
Supported Feed Formats
To use RSS Auto-Posting, the target website or similar must be distributing feeds in the following formats:
- RDF/RSS 1.0
- RSS 2.0
- Atom 0.3 and Atom 1.0
What is an RSS Feed?
An RSS feed is a technology used to distribute update information such as dates, titles, and summaries of content from websites, blogs, and other sources. Many blog services and news sites support it.
Links to RSS feeds are often indicated by an orange icon like this. Not all webpages have a feed URL. This feature cannot be used for websites that do not distribute RSS feeds.
Important Notes
- If the posting frequency or volume is too high, it may lead to unfollows.
- Please post content that your followers are likely to find interesting.
- If the exact same content is posted consecutively, it will not be delivered.
- Data posted via RSS Auto-Posting will not appear in the post history of multi-posting.
Adding RSS Auto-Posting Settings
- Find the RSS feed URL of your website or blog.
- From the left menu, click [Posts] → [RSS Auto-Posting].
- Click [Add].
- Enter the setting details.

Only items in the RSS feed with a publication date later than the time the RSS auto-posting setting was added will be included.

How to Register RSS Feeds with Japanese Characters in the URL
If the RSS feed URL contains Japanese characters, the following conversion is required:
For Japanese Domains
The domain portion of the URL needs to be Punycode-converted.
Punycode Conversion/Reverse Conversion for Japanese JP Domain Names
Conversion Example: ソーシャルドッグ.jp → xn--qcknrz3a9m5bvh.jp
When the URL Contains Japanese Characters Mid-Path
The Japanese portion of the URL needs to be URL-encoded.
URL Encode/Decode Form - TAG index
Conversion Example: https://web.social-dog.net/日本語/ → https://web.social-dog.net/%E6%97%A5%E6%9C%AC%E8%AA%9E/
When the error "Failed to retrieve RSS feed. Please check if the RSS URL is correct" is displayed
Please check the following:
Is the RSS Feed URL Registered?
In the [RSS URL] field, you must directly enter the RSS feed URL. This requires the RSS feed URL, not the top page URL of a blog or similar.
For example, https://jp.techcrunch.com/ is the URL of the blog's top page, not the RSS feed URL. The RSS feed URL for this site is https://jp.techcrunch.com/feed/.
Generally, RSS feed URLs are indicated by a mark like the following:
Clicking this mark will display a file similar to the following. The appearance may vary. Enter this URL in the [RSS URL] field.

Verify the RSS Feed Syntax
If the RSS feed syntax is incorrect, it cannot be retrieved properly. You can verify the RSS feed syntax at https://validator.w3.org/feed/.
