      Tagging people in images and videos on Instagram

      When posting to Instagram from SocialDog, you can tag people in images and videos.

      Tagging people in images

      When posting multiple images or videos, it will be treated as a feed post. In feed posts, you can tag people in images.

      1. Click "New Post" in the upper right corner of the "Scheduled Posts" screen.
      2. Click "Add Destination" or "+" to add your Instagram account as a posting destination.
      3. Drag and drop the image you want to upload, or click the "Media (image icon)" button to select the image.
      4. Click the "Tag People (person icon)" button.
      5. Click the location in the image where you want to tag someone.
      6. In the username input field, enter the username you want to tag.
        1. Note: On SocialDog, you cannot search for and add usernames you want to tag.
      7. Click the "Add Tag" button.
        • You can click the "View on Instagram (external link icon)" button to verify that the account name is correct.
        • You can add up to 20 tags.
      8. Click "Save."

      • In feed posts that include multiple media, you cannot tag people in videos.
      • On SocialDog, you cannot search for and add usernames you want to tag.

       

      Tagging people in videos

      When posting a single video, it will automatically be treated as a Reels post. Only in Reels posts can you tag people in videos.

      1. Click "New post" in the upper right corner of the "Scheduled posts" screen.
      2. Click "Add social profile" or "+" to add your Instagram account as a posting destination.
      3. Drag and drop the video you want to upload, or click the "Media (image icon)" button to select the video.
      4. Click the "Tag People (person icon)" button.
      5. In the username input field, enter the username you want to tag.
      6. Click the "Add Tag" button.
