Set post content
This section explains how to configure post content on the "Create Post" screen.
Content that can be posted varies by social media platform. For details, please refer to Postable Content.
Check Post Preview (Browser Version Only)
On the right side of the "Create Post" screen, post previews for "Smartphone" and "Desktop" are displayed.
Click the "Smartphone icon" or "Desktop icon" in the top right corner of the screen to switch between and check their respective previews.
About Media Post Previews for X
For X (Twitter), image recognition may select complex areas as thumbnails. Since SocialDog automatically crops the center, the thumbnail display may differ from the actual post screen.
Select Social Media Accounts for Posting
- You can select the social media accounts to post to by choosing them at the top.
Post Simultaneously to Multiple Social Media Accounts
- You can select multiple social media platforms to post to.
- Only one X (Twitter) account can be selected. This is because X (Twitter) rules prohibit posting identical content to multiple accounts.
- If you select multiple social media accounts, a "Common" tab will appear.
- You can enter common post content for all accounts in the "Common" tab.
- The content entered in "Common" will be applied to all accounts.
- To change the post content for each account:
- Click on the tab for each account to modify the post content.
- If you change the content in an individual account's tab, the content from the "Common" tab will no longer be reflected, and a red ● icon will appear in the upper right corner of the account's icon.
- Clicking "Restore Common Content" will revert to the state where the content from the "Common" tab is reflected.
If Post Content Contains Errors
If there are errors in the text, image, or video content, a warning icon will appear on the social media account tab.
Posts cannot be published while errors exist. You can still add them to drafts regardless of errors.
Attach Media such as Images and Videos
You can attach and post media such as images and videos. You can attach media using the following methods:
- Click the "Image icon"
- Drag and drop images into the form
- With an image copied to the clipboard, paste it while the form remains open

Edit Images (PC Browser Version Only)
Simple image editing is available.
Resize Images
- Click [Edit] on the uploaded image.

- Select the desired size to crop from the left side of the screen, adjust it, then click [Save] in the upper right corner of the screen.

Add Text to Images
- Click [Edit] on the uploaded image.

- Click [A] on the left side of the screen to switch to the text input screen.
- Select font, size, alignment, text color, background color, and line spacing, then click "Save" after positioning it.

Create Threads (X (Twitter), Threads)
If you want to split a post or if it exceeds character limits, you can schedule multiple posts as a thread.
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an X (Twitter) account or Instagram account as a posting destination.
- Click [+] in the bottom right corner of the text input field.
- While multiple posts can be posted as a thread, you cannot change the post time for each individual thread.
- Threads cannot be created in the "Common" tab on the post creation screen. Please create them from the X (Twitter) or Threads account tabs.
Restrictions per Plan
- Number of scheduled thread posts that can be set simultaneously:
- Free Plan: Up to 1 per social media account
- Other Plans: Unlimited
- Number of threads that can be added to a single scheduled post:
- Up to 50
Add Polls (X (Twitter))
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an X (Twitter) account as a posting destination.
- Click the [Poll] button.
- Enter answers (options) enclosed in quotes. You can enter 2 to 4 answers.
- Set the poll duration. You can set it from 5 minutes to 7 days. Polls begin accepting votes from the time they are posted on X (Twitter).
- Media cannot be included in polls.
- Poll results cannot be viewed on SocialDog.
Set Who Can Reply (X (Twitter))
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an X (Twitter) account as a posting destination.
- Click the [Who can reply] (globe icon) button.
- Select who can reply to the post from the following options:
- Everyone
- Accounts you follow
- Verified accounts
- Only accounts you @mention
Schedule Feed, Reels, and Stories Posts (Instagram)
With SocialDog, you can post to Instagram Feed, Reels, and Stories.
- Click [Add Destination] and add one Instagram account as a posting destination.
- Select [Post] or [Stories]. For Reels, select "Post" and upload a single video.
- Attach an image or video. For Stories, you can post one media file (image or video).
- For information on the image and video formats that can be posted to Stories, please check Postable Content.
- If you post media with an aspect ratio different from the recommended (9:16), margins may be added or parts may be cropped on Instagram.
Tag People (Instagram)
You can tag people in Instagram Feed posts (images) or Reels posts (videos).
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add an Instagram account as a posting destination.
- Drag and drop the image you want to upload, or click the [Media (image icon)] button to select an image.
- Click the [Tag People (person icon)] button.
- Click the location within the image where you want to tag.
- Enter the username you want to tag. You cannot search for and add usernames to tag within SocialDog.
- Click the [Add Tag] button. You can click the [View on Instagram (screen transition icon)] button to confirm if the account name is correct. Up to 20 tags can be added.
- Click [Save].
In feed posts containing multiple media, you cannot tag videos.
Set Post Visibility (TikTok)
You can set which users can view your posts.
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add a TikTok account as a posting destination.
- Click [Post Visibility].
- Select the post's visibility from the following options:
- Everyone
- Friends (mutual followers)
- Only me
Set Permitted Actions for Users (TikTok)
You can set what users can do with your posts.
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add a TikTok account as a posting destination.
- Click [Permitted Actions for Users].
- Check the following items that you want to permit for your post:
- Comments
- Duet
- Remix
Set Content Disclosure Settings (TikTok)
You can set whether your post contains commercial or promotional content.
- Click [Add Destination] or [+] to add a TikTok account as a posting destination.
- Click [Content Disclosure Settings].
- Turn on [Disclose content].
- Check the relevant items below, depending on your post content:
- Your own brand
- Branded content
