This section explains how to schedule posts.

Overview of Posting Features

Social profiles you can post to

  • X (Twitter) account
  • Instagram account
  • Facebook Page
  • Threads account
  • TikTok account

The content that can be posted varies by social profile. For details, please refer to Postable Content.

Simultaneous posting to multiple social profiles

  • You can post simultaneously to multiple types of social profiles, such as X and Threads. Even when posting simultaneously, you can change the content of certain items for each social profile.
tip

Instagram Stories posts do not support simultaneous posting.

How to specify post date and time

You can specify when to post using the following methods:

  • Post now
    • Posts immediately. It will not appear in Scheduled posts.
  • Schedule post
    • Posts at the specified date and time. You can schedule up to 1 year and 6 months in advance.
  • Add to queue
    • Added to the front of the next available Posting times. Posts from the front of the Posting times are published at the pre-set times.
  • Add to front of queue
    • Adds to the front of the Posting times. This is useful when you want to post immediately at the next available Posting times. Posts that were already in the Posting times will be shifted back by one position.
  • Save as a draft
    • You can post it later.

Time zone for displayed dates and times

Scheduled post dates and times are displayed according to the Time zone set in Team settings, not your device settings or current location. For information on how to check and change the Time zone, please refer to Managing Team Settings | SocialDog Help.

Scheduling regular posts

You can schedule regular posts, not Replies or Reposts, using the following method:

  1. Click the [Post] button in the menu.
  2. Set your post content.
  3. Specify the post date and time, click [], and select either [Schedule post], [Add to front of queue], or [Add to queue] from the displayed menu, then click the button.

Confirming Scheduled Posts

Once you [Schedule post], it will appear in Scheduled posts until it is posted. It will not be displayed if you select [Post now].

Editing Scheduled Posts

  1. Click [Post] from the menu, then select Scheduled posts.
  2. Click the [pencil icon (Edit)] for the post you want to edit.
  3. Edit the post.
  4. Once you have finished editing, click [Save].

Changing the Date and Time of Scheduled Posts

  1. Click [Post] from the menu, then select Scheduled posts.
  2. Click the time displayed for the post whose date and time you want to change. For posts added to [Add to queue], you cannot click the time directly, so click the [pencil icon (Edit)].
  3. Select the desired date and time, then click [Change].

Posting Scheduled Posts Now

  1. Click [Post] from the menu, then select Scheduled posts.
  2. Click the [paper airplane icon] in the lower right corner of the post you want to [Post now].
  3. After confirming the message [Post now?], click [Post now].

Moving Scheduled Posts to Drafts

  1. Click [Post] from the menu, then select Scheduled posts.
  2. Click [...] displayed in the lower right corner of the post you want to move to [Drafts].
  3. Click [Move to Drafts].

Deleting Scheduled Posts

  1. Click [Post] from the menu, then select Scheduled posts.
  2. Click the [trash can icon (Delete)] for the post you want to [Delete].
  3. After confirming the message [Delete post? This action cannot be undone.], click [Delete].

You can schedule Reposts of your own posts or other people's posts.

Scheduling Reposts/Replies (Scheduled Reposts/Replies) (X (Twitter) only)

By opening the post form on the following screens, you can schedule Reposts and Replies.

For Reposts, if you enter a comment, it becomes a quote post (quote tweet). If you do not enter a comment, it will be a regular Reposts (retweet).

Opening the post form from Post history

You can Reposts or Replies to your own posts.

  1. Open [Post] -> Post history from the menu.
  2. Click the [Reposts / Quote Post] or [Replies] icon in the lower right corner of the post you want to Replies or Reposts (retweet).

Opening the post form from Inbox

You can Reposts and Replies to posts collected by Keyword Monitor or @-tweets.

  1. On the Inbox screen, click the [Reposts] button for the post you want to Reposts.
  2. For quote Reposts, enter comments enclosed in quotation marks. If you do not enter a comment, it will be a regular Reposts (retweet).

Opening the post form from the X (Twitter) screen

By using the browser extension, you can display a SocialDog 'Open' button on the X (Twitter) screen and Reposts or Replies to any post.

  1. Install the SocialDog browser extension.
    1. For details, please refer to Using the SocialDog browser extension to conveniently use X (Twitter).
  2. Display the post you want to Replies to on X (Twitter).
  3. For Reposts, click the Reposts icon displayed below the post, then click [Reposts with SocialDog]. For Replies, click the SocialDog icon.
tip

The following posts cannot be scheduled for Reposts:

  • Posts that have not yet been posted (scheduled posts)
  • Posts from private accounts
  • Posts that have been edited after posting

The following posts cannot be scheduled for Replies:

  • Posts that have not yet been posted (scheduled posts)

Restrictions by Plan

  • Number of concurrent scheduled posts that can be set
    • Free Plan: 10 posts per Social profile
    • Personal Plan: 30 posts per Social profile
    • Professional Plan: Unlimited
    • Business Plan: Unlimited
    • Enterprise plan: Unlimited
tip

In thread-based scheduled posts, each post within a thread is not counted towards the number of scheduled posts per Plan.
