About security
This document describes the information security measures implemented by SocialDog.
ISO 27001 (ISMS) Certification
SocialDog Inc. has obtained ISO 27001 (ISMS) certification, an international standard also held by listed companies, and operates in accordance with stringent security criteria.
ISO 27001 (ISMS) certification is an international standard for protecting information assets and ensuring an organization's security appropriately. It is also known as Information Security Management System (ISMS).
Communication Security
To prevent eavesdropping or tampering by third parties, all data transmitted across all pages and communications is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
Data Backup
Customer data is continuously backed up to prepare for potential failures. A system is in place to restore data even in the event of data loss due to human error by system administrators.
Highly Secure and Reliable Data Center
SocialDog operates on the domestic data centers (Tokyo region) of Google's cloud service, Google Cloud Platform (GCP). GCP is utilized by numerous customers worldwide and is protected by extremely high reliability and world-class security.
For more information on GCP's security, please refer to the GCP website.
However, some data, such as that for payment and authentication systems, may be stored outside of GCP's domestic data centers.
Credit Card Information Security
Credit card information is strictly managed by Stripe, a highly reliable international payment platform that is a PCI Level 1 service provider and complies with PCI DSS, an industry-standard security benchmark. We do not store any credit card information ourselves.
Social Media IDs and Passwords
Customer social media account data is obtained and updated using a mechanism called "OAuth." There is no need to register social media account passwords with SocialDog, thus eliminating the risk of password leakage.
