Manage the team's social media accounts.

This guide explains how to add and remove social media accounts.

To manage social media accounts in SocialDog, you need to add social media accounts to your team. Once a social media account is added to a team, it cannot be added to other teams.

Add Social Media Accounts to a Team

  1. Open Social Media Accounts.
  2. Click [Add Social Media Account].
  3. Click the social media platform you want to add.
  4. When the social media platform's screen opens, log in and authorize data connection.
  5. The social media account is now added.
    1. You can switch accounts by clicking the account name displayed in the top left corner.

If the message "This social media account is already connected to another team" appears

A social media account cannot be connected to multiple teams. This message appears if you attempt to add a social media account that is already connected to another team.

If you know which team the social media account is connected to

  1. If you are logged into SocialDog with another account, first log out of SocialDog.
  2. Log in to SocialDog with the SocialDog account of the administrator of the team to which the social media account is connected.
  3. Remove the social media account from that team.
  4. Log out of SocialDog.
  5. Log in to SocialDog with the SocialDog account to which you want to add the social media account.
  6. Connect your X (formerly Twitter) account.

If you do not know which team the social media account is connected to

Please contact support with the name of the social media account you wish to connect.

Remove Social Media Accounts from a Team

  1. Open Social Media Accounts.
  2. A list of connected accounts will be displayed.
  3. Click [...] → [Delete] for the account you wish to remove.
tip

If you re-add a social media account after deleting it, you can still view previously acquired data.

tip

Deleting a social media account will also delete the following data:

  • Posts scheduled in "Scheduled Posts" (does not affect posts that have already been published)
  • Drafts
  • Keyword Monitor

Change a Connected Social Media Account

  1. Open the social media platform you wish to add, and log out of that platform.
  2. Remove the social media account from the team using the steps described above.
  3. Add the social media account to the team using the steps described above.

Reconnection

Due to security measures by social media platforms, reconnection may be required. If you do not reconnect by the deadline, you will no longer be able to update analytics data or schedule posts.

When Reconnection is Required

  • When the connection is disconnected
    • The connection may be automatically disconnected even if the user has not disconnected it.
  • When the account has not been reconnected for a certain period of time
  • When the password has been changed

You will receive a notification on the SocialDog screen or via email if the connection is lost or the reconnection deadline approaches.

Reconnect

  1. Click the icon in the bottom left corner → Social Media Accounts.
  2. Click [...] → [Reconnect] for the relevant social media account.
tip

If you have changed your password on the social media platform, we recommend reconnecting even if you have not received a disconnection notification from SocialDog. Immediate reconnection may be necessary when you change your password on the social media platform.
