Link your X (Twitter) account

This section explains how to link your X (Twitter) account.

  1. Go to the X (Twitter) official website and log in with the X (Twitter) account you want to link to SocialDog.
  2. Click the icon in the bottom left.
  3. Click SNS Accounts.
  4. Click [Add SNS Account].
    • If the number of SNS accounts exceeds the limit, an "Upgrade" screen will appear. In this case, please change your plan.
  5. A screen to select the SNS account to add will appear. Click [X (Twitter) Account].
  6. The X (Twitter) authorization screen will appear. Click [Authorize app].
tip

If you cannot link your account using the steps above, please refer to Issues that prevent X (Twitter) account linking.

  • You cannot create a SocialDog account using the SocialDog app version.
  • If you are not the team owner or belong to more than one team in SocialDog, you cannot link an X (Twitter) account from the app. Please link your X (Twitter) account using the SocialDog browser version.
  1. Open the SocialDog app and log in with your SocialDog account.
  2. Tap the icon in the upper left.
  3. Tap "Manage Account".
  4. Tap "Link SNS Account".
  5. The X (Twitter) authorization screen will appear. Log in with the X (Twitter) account you want to link to SocialDog.
tip

If you cannot link via the app version, please try linking via the SocialDog browser version. For details, refer to Issues that prevent X (Twitter) account linking.

tip

X (Twitter) accounts that have been granted a role using the Account permission delegation feature cannot be linked to SocialDog. Login information for the X (Twitter) account you wish to link to SocialDog is required.

Features Not Available for X Accounts with Many Followers

For accounts with 3,000 or more followers

  • Analytics > "Followers" pie chart
    • Results displayed are based on a sample of data, not all followers.

For accounts with 30,000 or more followers

  • Number of "Fan" users in the left sidebar of the "Followers" screen
    • May not be displayed.
  • "Recommended Actions" on the "Dashboard"
    • The count will not be displayed.

For accounts with 50,000 or more followers

  • CSV Download
    • Data from the 50,001st entry onwards cannot be downloaded.

For accounts with 100,000 or more followers

  • Sorting on the "Followers" screen
    • Only "Newest first" and "Oldest first" are available.

When X (Twitter) App Linking is Canceled (Re-login)

App linking may be canceled even if the user does not explicitly revoke it.

If app linking is canceled, all scheduled posts, report sending, and other functions will stop. Re-linking your X (Twitter) account will resume the interrupted functions.

When app linking cancellation is detected, a notification email will be sent to your registered email address. We recommend re-linking promptly when app linking is canceled.

Re-login

  1. Click the icon in the bottom left of the screen, and open SNS Accounts.
  2. Click [Re-login].
  3. Enter your X (Twitter) ID and password to log in.

Reasons for App Linking Cancellation

To prevent unauthorized use of X (Twitter) accounts, X (Twitter) may automatically cancel app linking in the following cases:

  • Performed a large number of follows, unfollows, or posts in a short period
  • Posted from an external service without a registered mobile phone number
  • Posted a large number of links to specific sites
  • Post content was determined to be spam
