Connect your X (Twitter) account
This section explains how to connect your X (formerly Twitter) account.
Connecting Your X (formerly Twitter) Account
Connecting via the SocialDog Web Version
- Access the X (formerly Twitter) official website and log in with the X (formerly Twitter) account you wish to connect to SocialDog.
- Click the icon in the bottom left corner.
- Click Social Media Accounts.
- Click Add Social Media Account.
- If the number of social media accounts exceeds the limit, an "Upgrade" screen will be displayed. In this case, please change your plan.
- A screen to select the social media account to add will appear. Click X (formerly Twitter) Account.
- The X (formerly Twitter) authorization screen will be displayed. Click Authorize app.

Connecting via the SocialDog Mobile App
- You cannot create a SocialDog account using the SocialDog mobile app.
- If you are not the team owner or if you belong to more than one team in SocialDog, you cannot connect an X (formerly Twitter) account via the app. Please connect your X (formerly Twitter) account using the SocialDog web version.
- Open the SocialDog app and log in with your SocialDog account.
- Tap the icon in the top left corner.
- Tap "Account Management."
- Tap "Link Social Media Account."
- The X (formerly Twitter) authorization screen will be displayed. Log in with the X (formerly Twitter) account you wish to connect to SocialDog.
If you cannot connect via the mobile app, please try connecting via the SocialDog web version. For details, refer to Issues Connecting X (formerly Twitter) Accounts.
You cannot connect an X (formerly Twitter) account that has been assigned a role using X (formerly Twitter)'s account delegation feature to SocialDog. You need the login credentials for the X (formerly Twitter) account you wish to connect to SocialDog.
Features Unavailable for X Accounts with a Large Number of Followers
For X accounts with a large number of followers, the following features are unavailable.
For Accounts with 3,000 or More Followers
- Analytics > "Followers" pie chart
- The displayed result is a sample of data, not all followers.
For Accounts with 30,000 or More Followers
- Number of "Fans" in the left sidebar of Followers
- May not be displayed.
- "Recommended Actions" on the Dashboard
- The number of items will not be displayed.
For Accounts with 50,000 or More Followers
- CSV download
- Data from the 50,001st entry onwards cannot be downloaded.
For Accounts with 100,000 or More Followers
- Sorting on the Followers screen
- Only "Newest first" and "Oldest first" are available.
When X (formerly Twitter) App Connection is Revoked (Re-login)
App connections may be revoked even if the user does not explicitly disconnect the app.
When an app connection is revoked, all scheduled posts, report deliveries, and other functions will be suspended. Re-connecting your X (formerly Twitter) account will resume the interrupted functions.
If an app connection revocation is detected, a notification email will be sent to your registered email address. We recommend re-connecting promptly when an app connection is revoked.
Re-logging In
- Click the icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and open Social Media Accounts.
- Click Re-login.
- Enter your X (formerly Twitter) ID and password to log in.
Reasons for App Connection Revocation
To prevent unauthorized use of X (formerly Twitter) accounts, X (formerly Twitter) may automatically revoke app connections in the following cases:
- A large number of follows, unfollows, or posts were performed in a short period.
- Posts were made from an external service without a registered mobile phone number.
- A large number of links to specific websites were posted.
- Post content was determined to be spam.
