Log in with your Google or Apple account

This document describes how to register or log in using your Google or Apple account.

You can create or log in to your SocialDog account using "Log in with Google" or "Sign in with Apple".

Registering a New Account with Google or Apple (Creating a New SocialDog Account)​

tip

This feature is planned for future release and is not yet available.

  1. Open the Account Creation screen.
  2. Click "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" and authenticate on the respective authentication screen.

Linking Your Google or Apple Account to Your SocialDog Account​

To log in with your Google or Apple account, you must link it to your SocialDog account while logged into SocialDog.

  1. Open Account Settings → Security.
  2. In the Google or Apple section, click [Link].
  3. Select the account you wish to use for login. Authenticate on the respective authentication screen.
  4. Upon completion, "[Linked]" will be displayed, and you will be able to log in with your Google or Apple account.

Logging In with Your Google or Apple Account​

  1. Open the Login screen.
  2. Click "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple" and authenticate on the respective authentication screen.

Unlinking Your Google or Apple Account​

  1. Open Account Settings → Security.
  2. In the Google or Apple section, click [Unlink].
tip

If a password has not been set, you cannot unlink all Google/Apple accounts. If you wish to unlink all accounts, please set a password beforehand.

Changing Your Linked Google or Apple Account​

  1. Open Account Settings → Security.
  2. In the Google or Apple section, click [Unlink].
  3. In the Google or Apple section, click [Link].
  4. Select the account you wish to use for login. Authenticate on the respective authentication screen.
  5. Upon completion, "[Linked]" will be displayed, and you will be able to log in with your Google or Apple account.

Google One Tap (Automatic Login)​

Depending on your browser's state, Google's One Tap login may be displayed.

In this case, you can log in with a single click by selecting your Google account.

Hide My Email with Apple​

If you select "Hide My Email" with your Apple account, an email address such as (random string)@privaterelay.appleid.com may be registered.

Emails sent to this address are forwarded by Apple to your actual email address. If you are not receiving emails, please check your Apple forwarding and spam settings.
