When unable to post or an error occurs
Explains the causes and countermeasures when scheduled posts, scheduled reposts, or scheduled replies are not performed at the set time.
Check Scheduled Post Error Details
- Open [Posts] → [Scheduled Posts] and check the error details.
- If a post fails, an email will be sent to the email address registered with SocialDog.
If an error is displayed, take the following actions according to the error details.
Common to All SNS Platforms
| Error Message | Cause | Solution |
| An unknown error occurred during post processing. Please try again. | One of the following may be the cause: • SNS platform outage • SocialDog outage | After the outage is resolved, please try posting again. If the issue persists, please contact us. |
| The SNS account link has expired. Please try re-linking your SNS account. | The SNS account is not properly linked to SocialDog, or the link has expired. | Please re-link your SNS account on the [SNS Accounts] settings screen. |
| Your SNS account is temporarily restricted. Please try again later. | Your SNS account may be suspended for some reason, or some features may be unavailable. | Please try posting again after some time. |
| The number of linked SNS accounts exceeded the limit, so the post was not made. | You have exceeded the maximum number of linkable SNS accounts specified for your plan. This error may occur for scheduled posts created before canceling a paid plan. | Log in to SocialDog and either upgrade your plan on the displayed screen, or delete unused SNS accounts from SocialDog. Note: Deleting an SNS account from SocialDog will delete scheduled posts and drafts. |
X (Twitter)

Instagram

| • An error occurred while uploading media to Instagram. Please try again. • There is an image with an invalid aspect ratio. • There is an image in an unsupported format. Please check if the image format is supported by Instagram. • The image file size exceeds the limit. • There is a video in an unsupported format. Please check if the video format is supported by Instagram. | There is an issue with the media (image/video) attached to the post. | Please check Postable Content and change the images or videos attached to your post. |

Facebook

Check/Change Time Zone Settings
Posts may not be made if an incorrect time zone is set.
- Access [Team Settings].
- Check if [Time Zone] is set to your current time zone. To set it to Japan Standard Time, set it to (GMT+09:00) Asia/Tokyo.

Check Outage Information
Posts may not be made if an outage occurs on an SNS platform or SocialDog.

- If an outage is occurring, please re-post after the outage is resolved.
