When RSS auto-posting fails
If posts are not automatically published after configuring RSS auto-posting, please verify the following points.
Verify Monthly Post Limit Has Not Been Exceeded
There is a monthly limit on the number of posts. This limit varies by plan.
For details, please refer to the pricing plans table.
Verify RSS Feed Content Has Been Updated
SocialDog will not publish content if the text to be posted is identical or differs by only a few characters from previously published items.
Therefore, posts may not be published in the following cases:
- Article title and body are identical.
- URL is identical.
- If the post content is set to "Custom" and neither the article title, article description, nor URL are utilized as keywords.
Verify Articles Have Been Updated Since RSS Feed Registration
The RSS auto-posting feature publishes once at the time of configuration. To prevent bulk posting of old items, subsequent posts will only include items whose feed date is on or after the RSS auto-posting setup time.
For example, if you add a feed containing 10 items, one item will be published immediately after setup, but no further items will be published until the RSS feed is updated. Once the RSS feed is updated, posts will resume.
Verify RSS Feed Response Time is Within 5 Seconds
The retrieval timeout from SocialDog to the RSS feed is set to 5 seconds. Therefore, an error may occur if retrieving the feed takes longer than 5 seconds.
In such cases, please ensure that the RSS feed responds within 5 seconds.
