Credit Card Payment
This page describes how to pay for paid plans using a credit card.
Credit Card Payment Overview
You can pay for SocialDog services by credit card.
Supported Brands
You can use credit cards bearing the following brand marks:
- Visa
- Mastercard
- AmericanExpress
- JCB (for Japanese Yen payments only)
- Diners Club
- Discover
Changing Credit Card Information
You can change the credit card for future billing.
- Click the menu in the bottom left, then open [Plans / Billing].
- Click [Change] to open the payment method settings.
- Enter the new credit card information.
- Click [Change].
You cannot change the credit card for already processed bills.
Deleting Credit Card Information
You can delete your credit card information if you are on a free plan or if your paid plan has been canceled.
- Click the menu in the bottom left, then open [Plans / Billing].
- Click [Change] to open the payment method settings.
- Click [Delete].
Using Prepaid Cards or Debit Cards
You may be able to use debit cards that function like credit cards, or prepaid cards sold at convenience stores.
- An error will occur if the available balance is less than the plan fee.
- To perform authorization (credit limit reservation), your balance may temporarily decrease even during a free trial. The system immediately cancels this, and the balance typically recovers within a few minutes to several days.
- Some cards may not be usable.
- "JCB Premo Card" cannot be used as it does not function like a credit card.
- Some cards may require initial registration for online use.
When Credit Card Payment Fails
If your credit card payment fails, the following reasons may be considered:
- Incorrect credit card information
- Please check if the card number, expiration date, and CVC are entered correctly.
- Credit card has expired
- Available credit limit is less than the plan payment amount
If the payment fails, please change your credit card information.
Change to Free Plan due to Payment Failure
If a payment fails, we will attempt the payment several times. If the payment fails multiple times, your plan will automatically be switched to the Free Plan. Even if your plan is switched to the Free Plan, you can re-subscribe to a paid plan.
Since SocialDog's paid plans are prepaid, payments that previously failed will not be attempted again when you switch back to a paid plan.
