This document explains how to pay for paid plans using a credit card.

Overview of Credit Card Payments

You can pay for SocialDog services using a credit card.

Supported Brands

Credit cards bearing the following brand marks can be used:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • AmericanExpress
  • JCB (For JPY transactions only)
  • Diners Club
  • Discover

Changing Credit Card Information

You can change the credit card for future billing.

  1. Click the menu in the bottom-left corner and open [Plans / Payments].
  2. Click [Change] to open the payment method settings.
  3. Enter your new credit card information.
  4. Click [Change].
tip

It is not possible to change the credit card for charges that have already been incurred.

Deleting Credit Card Information

You can delete your credit card information if you are on a Free plan or your paid plan has been canceled.

  1. Click the menu in the bottom-left corner and open [Plans / Payments].
  2. Click [Change] to open the payment method settings.
  3. Click [Delete].

Using Prepaid and Debit Cards

Debit cards that function like credit cards, and prepaid cards sold at convenience stores, may be usable.

  • An error will occur if the available balance is less than the plan's fee.
  • Authorization (securing credit limit) is performed, so your balance may temporarily decrease even during a free trial. The system immediately cancels the hold, and the balance typically recovers within a few minutes to a few days.
  • Some cards may not be usable.
    • JCB Premo cards are not supported as they do not function like standard credit cards.
    • Some cards may require initial registration for online use.

Credit Card Payment Failures

If a credit card payment fails, the following reasons are possible:

  • Incorrect credit card information
    • Please verify that the card number, expiration date, and CVC are entered correctly.
  • The credit card has expired.
  • The available credit limit on the card is less than the plan's payment amount.

If a payment fails, please update your credit card information.

Reversion to Free Plan Due to Payment Failure

If a payment fails, multiple attempts will be made. If payment fails several times, your account will automatically be downgraded to a Free plan. Even if your account is downgraded to a Free plan, you can re-subscribe to a paid plan.

Since SocialDog's paid plans operate on a prepaid basis, previously failed payments will not be re-attempted when you change back to a paid plan.
