We have resumed offering follower management and follower analysis features.

· 2 min read

Thank you for always using SocialDog.

Today, we have reinstated the follower management and follower analytics features. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our users.

Reinstated Features

If your Twitter account is set to private, the following features will not be available:

  • Analytics
    • We have re-enabled the display of information such as new follows and new follower counts in the dashboard and follower analytics.
  • Followers
    • We have re-enabled the display of information such as users you are following and your followers.

Background of Reinstatement

To adapt to the recent monetization of the Twitter API, we have switched the source for acquiring follow and follower information to a joint initiative with NTT DATA's "Nazuki no Oto."

Regarding Follow, Unfollow, Mute, Block, and Like Operations

We regret to inform you that the functionality enabling the following operations directly within SocialDog has been discontinued. Going forward, these operations must be performed on the Twitter platform:

  • Follow
  • Unfollow
  • Mute
  • Block
  • Like

Due to the monetization of the Twitter API, restrictions on API usage limits have been imposed. Consequently, it has become difficult to provide these features without exceeding these API limits.

While we have transitioned to a method of obtaining follow and follower information that does not utilize the Twitter API, through a joint initiative with NTT DATA's "Nazuki no Oto," this alternative does not provide functionalities for operations such as follow and unfollow. Therefore, we regretfully had no choice but to discontinue these features.

We apologize for not meeting your expectations. We will continue to explore possibilities to reinstate these features in the future.

Note

New follows, unfollows, new followers, and unfollows that occurred during the feature suspension period will be displayed as if they happened after the features were reinstated.

As a result, you may observe a sudden increase in the numbers for new follows, unfollows, new followers, and unfollows. We apologize, but we are unable to restore this historical data.

SocialDog will continue to strive for daily development to provide services that satisfy all users.

We appreciate your continued patronage.
