Introducing the new plan, November 2023

Thank you for always using SocialDog.

We are pleased to announce that SocialDog will release new pricing plans on November 27, 2023.

To make SocialDog an even more contributing product for your social media marketing, we have decided to release new pricing plans, considering the monetization of the X (Twitter) API and support for social media platforms other than X (Twitter).

With the new pricing plans, it will be easier to manage not only X (Twitter) Accounts but also Instagram Accounts and Facebook Pages together on SocialDog.

Hereafter, we will refer to the currently offered pricing plans as "current plans" and the new pricing plans as "new plans".

  • The release of the new plans is scheduled for November 27, 2023. After the new plans are released, new subscriptions or plan changes will be for the new plans.
  • For customers currently using current plans, we will transition you to the new plans from your billing date in late January 2024 onwards. Details regarding the transition to the new plans will be sent to you by email by mid-December.
  • If you are on a monthly payment for a current plan, changing to Yearly payment by November 26, 2023, will allow you to continue using the current plan's pricing for one year after the change to Yearly payment.

About the New Plans​

Four Paid Plans to Choose From​

As of November 27, 2023, SocialDog will offer four paid plans: Personal plan, Professional plan, Business plan, and Enterprise plan.

Pricing for Personal plan, Professional plan, Business plan, and Enterprise plan.

Pricing Structure for Easier Centralized Management of Multiple Social profiles

With the new plans, the maximum social profiles that can be linked will be set for each plan.

This makes it easier to centrally manage multiple Social profiles on SocialDog.

Under the current plans, linking two Social profiles incurred fees for two Accounts. With the new plans, you will be able to link multiple Social profiles without additional charges.

Take this opportunity to link multiple Social profiles to SocialDog and make the most of them.

Only one X (Twitter) Account can be linked with Personal and Professional plans.

New Free plan for Instagram and Facebook Operations to Be Introduced​

A new free plan (Free plan) will be introduced to facilitate the operation of Instagram business Accounts and Facebook Pages.

You can link a total of two Instagram business Accounts and Facebook Pages. In addition to creating 10 scheduled Posts, Instagram business Accounts allow you to analyze Followers counts and post engagement for the past two weeks.

If you wish to link an X (Twitter) Account or view analysis data older than two weeks, please use a paid plan.

Other Changes​

  • Instagram business Accounts and Facebook Pages will be counted towards the number of Social profiles linked to your team, just like X (Twitter) Accounts. Available Instagram and Facebook related features vary by plan.
  • For the new Personal plan, the maximum number of scheduled Posts is "30", which will be the combined limit for scheduled Posts and Drafts across all Social profiles linked to the team.
  • The new Business plan will allow you to use "Post engagement" similar to the current Business plan. However, the new Business plan only allows you to retrieve data for users who have Reposted (retweeted).
  • If you wish to retrieve data for users who have given Likes, Replies, or quote-Posts (quote-tweets), please use the new Enterprise plan.

[Important] Transition Schedule to New Plans​

We will transition to the new plans according to the following schedule:

  • November 27, 2023: New subscriptions to current plans will cease, and it will become possible to subscribe to new plans. Additionally, Instagram and Facebook related features will become official versions and will only be available with new plans.
    • After this date, new subscriptions or plan changes for paid plans will be for the new plans.
    • If you wish to continue using Instagram and Facebook related features, please subscribe to a new plan.
    • Lite plan (free plan) customers will be transitioned to the new Free plan on November 27.
  • By mid-December 2023: We will send details regarding the automatic transition to the new plans via email to customers using current plans.
    • We will notify you one month before the automatic transition begins.
  • Billing date in late January 2024 onwards: You will be automatically transitioned from current plans to new plans.
    • From late January 2024 onwards, you can continue to use the features of your current plan until your billing date. The timing of the transition to new plans will vary depending on the billing date of your paid plan. Details regarding the automatic transition to new plans will be sent to you by email by mid-December.

In principle, the transition destination plans are expected to be: Lite+ plan (including current Pro plan (2016) and current Pro plan (2017)) to Personal plan, Pro plan to Professional plan, and Business plan to Business plan. However, this may vary depending on factors such as the maximum social profiles. Details will be sent to you by email by mid-December.

Background on New Plan Announcement​

SocialDog is now entering a new stage.

We have aimed to evolve SocialDog into an all-in-one platform for social media management by extending its support to social media platforms other than X (Twitter).

Since its founding in 2016, SocialDog has been provided as a dedicated service for X (Twitter). In line with this policy, we added support for Instagram and Facebook in September 2023.

Additionally, the X (Twitter) API was monetized in Spring 2023. The X (Twitter) API is a mechanism that allows external services to securely obtain and operate X (Twitter) Posts and Account information. SocialDog has utilized the API to provide over a million customers with the necessary features for X (Twitter) marketing at reasonable prices. Due to the increased cost of using the X (Twitter) API, it has become difficult to continue providing services at the current prices.

Given these circumstances, we regret to announce the new plans.

The new plans will feature a pricing structure that makes it easier to centrally manage multiple Social profiles on SocialDog. Moving forward, we will continue to add new features and improve existing ones to further assist your social media marketing.
