This allows you to check your follow/follower status and perform 'follow' or 'unfollow' actions directly within SocialDog.

  • You will now be able to check follow/follower-related metrics in the graphs at the top of the dashboard.
  • You will now be able to view followers and followees categorized in a list under "Followers".
  • Quick filters and sorting will be available under "Followers".
  • You will now be able to 'follow' and 'unfollow' directly within the SocialDog interface.

We will discontinue 'Traditional Post' and transition to 'Multi-Post'.

To expand our features, we will discontinue the conventional "Post (Legacy)" function, which was specialized for X (Twitter) posts, and transition to a new "Multi-Post" function, which allows simultaneous posting to multiple social media accounts.

Accordingly, after June 1, 2025, the Post (Legacy) function will be gradually restricted for each team, and will be sequentially discontinued after August 1, 2025. We kindly ask you to migrate to Multi-Post as soon as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

Notice of Feature Restrictions for the Lite Plan (Free Plan) Due to the Monetization of the Twitter API

Issue with linking X (formerly Twitter) account

Thank you for always using SocialDog, the X (Twitter) account management tool.

Currently, due to an issue on the X (Twitter) side, users logged in to X (Twitter) are experiencing an issue where they cannot successfully set up their "Add SNS Profile" in SocialDog.

If your X (Twitter) account is frozen, you cannot link it. Please try linking after your account is unfrozen.

If "This SNS account is already linked to another team" is displayed and X (Twitter) cannot be linked, please refer to "This SNS account is already linked to another team" is displayed and X (Twitter) cannot be linked.

If the following screen showing "This api.twitter.com page cannot be found" is displayed, a 1-hour lock will be applied, and you will not be able to link your SNS account during that time. Please try linking your account again after 1 hour.

  • Cause: When you enter your email address and password on the X (Twitter) authentication screen, if they do not match and authentication fails multiple times, X (Twitter) will impose a lock.

Therefore, please try the following steps.

  1. Open your browser's "Incognito mode". The method for using "Incognito mode" varies depending on your browser. For details, please check your browser's help.
  2. Log in with the X (Twitter) account you wish to link on the official website.
  3. Log in to SocialDog, then click Add SNS Account to display the X (Twitter) authentication screen.
  4. Click "Authorize app".
  5. Close Incognito mode, then reopen SocialDog and reload the page.

New Plan Release Announcement (November 2023)

We are pleased to announce that SocialDog will release new pricing plans on Monday, November 27, 2023.

To further contribute to your SNS marketing, we have decided to release new pricing plans, considering the monetization of the X (Twitter) API and support for SNS platforms other than X (Twitter).

With the new pricing plans, it will be easier to manage not only X (Twitter) accounts but also Instagram accounts and Facebook Pages collectively within SocialDog.

Going forward, the currently offered pricing plans will be referred to as "Old Plans," and the new pricing plans as "New Plans."

  • The New Plans are scheduled for release on November 27, 2023. After the New Plans are released, new subscriptions to paid plans or plan changes will be processed under the New Plans.
  • For customers currently on Old Plans, we will transition you to the New Plans starting from your billing date in late January 2024 or later. Details regarding the transition to the New Plans will be sent via email by mid-December.
  • If you are currently on an Old Plan with monthly payments, changing to annual payments by November 26, 2023, will allow you to continue using the Old Plan rates for one year after the change to annual payments.

About the New Plans

As of November 27, 2023, SocialDog will offer four paid plans: Personal Plan, Professional Plan, Business Plan, and Enterprise Plan.

Pricing Structure for Easier Centralized Management of Multiple SNS Accounts

With the New Plans, the maximum number of connectable SNS accounts is set per plan.

This makes it easier to centrally manage multiple SNS accounts on SocialDog.

With the Old Plans, connecting two SNS accounts incurred charges for two accounts. With the New Plans, you can connect multiple SNS accounts without additional fees.

We encourage you to take this opportunity to connect multiple SNS accounts to SocialDog and utilize them.

Only one X (Twitter) account can be connected with Personal and Professional Plans.

New Free Plan for Instagram and Facebook Operations Launched

A new free plan (Free Plan) will be available, making it easier to manage Instagram Business Accounts and Facebook Pages.

You can connect up to two Instagram Business Accounts and Facebook Pages combined. In addition to creating 10 scheduled posts, you can analyze follower counts and post engagements for the past two weeks on your Instagram Business Account.

If you wish to connect an X (Twitter) account or view analysis data older than two weeks, please consider a paid plan.

Other Changes

  • Instagram Business Accounts and Facebook Pages will be counted towards the total number of SNS accounts linked to a team, similar to X (Twitter) accounts. Available Instagram and Facebook related features vary by plan.
  • The new Personal Plan sets the limit for scheduled posts at "30," which will be the combined total limit for scheduled posts and drafts across all SNS accounts linked to the team.
  • The new Business Plan allows you to use "Post Reactions" similar to the old Business Plan. However, the new Business Plan only allows you to acquire data from users who have reposted (retweeted).
  • If you wish to acquire data from users who have liked, replied to, or quote-posted (quote-tweeted), please consider the new Enterprise Plan.

[Important] Transition Schedule to New Plans

We will transition to the New Plans according to the following schedule:

  • November 27, 2023: New subscriptions to Old Plans will end, and New Plans will become available for subscription. Additionally, Instagram and Facebook related features will become official and available only with New Plans.
    • From this date onward, any new subscriptions to paid plans or plan changes will be processed under the New Plans.
    • If you wish to continue using Instagram and Facebook related features, please subscribe to a New Plan.
    • Customers on the Lite Plan (Free Plan) will be transitioned to the new Free Plan on November 27.
  • ~Mid-December 2023: Details regarding the automatic transition to the New Plans will be sent via email to customers on Old Plans.
    • We will contact you approximately one month before the automatic transition begins.
  • Billing date in late January 2024 or later: You will be automatically transitioned from your Old Plan to a New Plan.
    • After late January 2024, you can continue to use your Old Plan's features until your billing date. The timing of the transition to the New Plan will vary depending on the billing date of your paid plan. Further details regarding the automatic transition to the New Plans will be sent via email by mid-December.

In principle, the transition destination plans are expected to be: Lite+ Plan (including Old Pro Plan (2016) and Old Pro Plan (2017)) to Personal Plan, Pro Plan to Professional Plan, and Business Plan to Business Plan. However, the plan may differ depending on factors such as the limit on the number of SNS accounts. Details will be communicated via email by mid-December.

Background of New Plan Announcement

SocialDog is currently entering a new stage.

We have aimed to evolve SocialDog into an "all-in-one platform for SNS management" by supporting SNS platforms other than X (Twitter).

Since its establishment in 2016, SocialDog has been provided as a dedicated service for X (Twitter). In line with this policy, we added support for Instagram and Facebook in September 2023.

Furthermore, in spring 2023, the X (Twitter) API became a paid service. The X (Twitter) API is a mechanism that allows external services to securely obtain and operate X (Twitter) posts, account information, and more. SocialDog has utilized this API to provide over 1 million customers with the necessary features for X (Twitter) marketing at reasonable prices. Due to the increased cost of using the X (Twitter) API, it has become difficult to continue providing services at the current rates.

Given these circumstances, we are very sorry to announce the New Plans.

The New Plans will feature a pricing structure that facilitates centralized management of multiple SNS accounts on SocialDog. Moving forward, we will continue to add new features and improve existing ones to further assist your SNS marketing efforts.

The keyword monitor has been updated.

Today, we have resumed providing the Keyword Monitor. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

With the new Keyword Monitor, you can retrieve tweets that match your keywords from the past 30 days (excluding private tweets).

  • Tweets are not acquired automatically. You need to perform the operation when you wish to acquire them.
  • The CSV file delivery service for the Keyword Monitor will be terminated. From now on, you can download CSV files directly from the SocialDog screen.

Search from Tweets within the Last 30 Days

With the new Keyword Monitor, you can search for tweets from the past 30 days (excluding private tweets). Previously, only tweets posted after the Keyword Monitor was set up could be retrieved.

Acquire More Tweets

With the Business Plan, you can acquire up to 15,000 tweets per month. This can also be utilized for managing campaigns where users are encouraged to tweet with a specific hashtag.

You can acquire tweets by clicking "Get Latest Tweets" on the Keyword Monitor page in your "Inbox." You can select the number of tweets to acquire in units of 500 tweets.

  • You can acquire tweets within the limits of the acquisition count (described later).
  • The feature to notify new keywords via Slack, email, or push notifications has been discontinued.
  • You cannot acquire tweets older than those already acquired. If you wish to acquire tweets from an even earlier period, you can do so by adding a new Keyword Monitor setting.

Acquisition Limit

The number of times tweets can be acquired varies depending on your plan.

  • Number of Acquisitions Possible in the Last Month (Note 1) (Note 2)

    • Business Plan: 30 times × Number of SNS profiles
    • Pro Plan: 10 times × Number of SNS profiles

Note 1: Regarding "Last Month"

Please note that this does not refer to the period from the beginning to the end of the month.

Example: If the current time is "2023/6/15 15:00", the remaining acquisition count at that point is calculated based on the acquisitions made between "2023/5/16 15:00" and "2023/6/15 15:00".

Note 2: How Acquisition Counts are Calculated

The number of tweets that can be acquired per acquisition is 500, and you can increase or decrease the number of tweets to acquire in units of 500. (With the Business Plan, you can acquire up to 15,000 tweets by consuming 30 acquisitions).

Furthermore, the number of acquisitions consumed is determined by the actual number of tweets acquired.

Example: If you set "Number of tweets to acquire" to 1,500 tweets, and the actual search result is 700 tweets, the number of acquisitions consumed will be 2.

Future of Keyword Monitor

We plan to improve the Keyword Monitor so that tweets can be acquired automatically in the future. We also aim to display tweets matching keywords in real-time.


SocialDog, Inc. has concluded an agreement with Twitter, Inc. regarding the use of the paid Twitter API, Twitter Enterprise API. The Keyword Monitor, which we have resumed providing, was developed using the Full Archive Search API, a feature of the Twitter Enterprise API. We will continue to strive for development to provide features that maximize the functionality of the Twitter Enterprise API and satisfy all our users.

Regarding the feature limitations of the Lite Plan (Free Plan), please refer to previous announcement.

We have decided to partially change the feature limitations for paid plans from the initial announcement. This will result in additional feature limitations for our users. We apologize for the inconvenience, but please review it once more (Added 2023/5/30).

We have resumed providing follower management and follower analysis features (Added 2023/6/8).

Due to the recent monetization of the Twitter API, we would like to inform you that we have decided to restrict some features available in SocialDog's paid plans.

We sincerely apologize for this sudden announcement to all our users.

As the cost of using the Twitter API after monetization is extremely high, we decided to significantly restrict the features of the Lite Plan (Free Plan) starting May 16, 2023. However, upon careful review of Twitter API usage within SocialDog, it became clear that restricting only the Lite Plan features would make it difficult to stay within the Twitter API usage limits. Therefore, we regret to inform you that we have also decided to restrict some features for paid plans.

Going forward, to meet your expectations, we will leverage the Enterprise API, which will become available with the monetization of the Twitter API, to provide even more advanced and stable services than before.   • *1 "Data Acquisition" retrieves post history, follows/followers, and @tweets. It includes data acquisition from Twitter that occurs automatically on the server, as well as the manual data acquisition feature accessible via the arrow button (Get latest data from Twitter) in the upper left corner of the SocialDog screen.
  • *2 "Sent Follow Request Display" is a feature within follower management that shows whether a follow request has been sent to a private account. You will still be able to send follow requests in the future.
  • *3 "RSS Auto-post Monthly Limit" is the maximum number of tweets that can be posted via RSS auto-posting within the most recent month (Updated 2023/6/8). This is a newly added restriction. If the "RSS Auto-post Monthly Limit" is reached, tweets exceeding the limit will not be posted.

Keyword Monitor

Due to contractual issues with the Twitter API, we will temporarily suspend the Keyword Monitor feature. However, the Keyword Monitor will be rebuilt using the paid version of the Twitter API, Enterprise API (Full Archive Search), and will be released shortly.

Q. What happens if I have already set up RSS auto-posting?

A. Any RSS auto-posts you have set up previously will continue to function.

However, if the number of tweets posted by RSS auto-posting in a month exceeds the "RSS Auto-post Monthly Limit", RSS auto-posting will cease to operate.
