When you apply a filter with the "Followers" function, you can check the number of users after applying the filter and the number of users before applying the filter at the top of the screen.

It will be displayed in the format of Number of users after filter application / Number of users before filter application.

tip

If the number of followers is 30,000 or more, the user count will not be displayed. For details, please refer to Functions not available for X accounts with many followers | Connecting your X (Twitter) account.

Use Cases

Here are some examples of how filters can be used.

tip

Only quick filters can be used in the SocialDog app.

When you want to run a campaign lottery

Utilizing AI-based automatic account classification filters

You can exclude "bot accounts," "adult accounts," "advertisement/promotional accounts," and so on.

Items marked with "(beta)" are automatically determined and estimated by AI, which has been trained using SocialDog's unique algorithms. As this is an automated judgment by machine, the results may sometimes be incorrect.

Excluding users containing specific text

To exclude users whose name, description field, or location contains specific keywords, set the following filters:

  • All text [Does not contain]

When you want to increase followers

Follow users who are likely to follow back

By setting filters like the following, you can follow only those who are likely to follow you back:

  • FF Ratio greater than or equal to: 0.7
  • FF Ratio less than or equal to: 2
  • Inactive: No
  • Following: No
  • Pending Follow Request: No
  • Following count greater than or equal to: 100
  • Post count greater than or equal to: 100
  • Date followed: No record

Users who actively follow back after being followed will have their following count closer to their follower count.

Also, it's pointless to follow inactive people, so exclude them.

Exclude users who seem to have just started X (Twitter), with fewer than 100 following and fewer than 100 posts.

Exclude users you have followed before.

When you want to increase your FF ratio

Unfollow users who were not recently followed (not followed back, inactive)

To keep your following list clean, it is effective to unfollow users who have not followed you back or who are inactive.

You can unfollow users using the following functions:

  • "Followers" → "Not followed back"
  • "Followers" → "Inactive"

Users you have recently followed may still follow you back. It is recommended to sort by "Date followed: oldest first" and unfollow from the oldest, or to create a filter like the one below and not unfollow users you have followed within the last week.

X (Twitter) rules prohibit mass unfollowing ("follow churn") simply because a follow was not returned after you followed someone.

With the following settings, only users followed before 2016/12/16 will be displayed:

  • Date followed before or on: 2016/12/16

Also, among inactive users, those with many followers may become active again, so it is possible to add a filter like the following:

  • Follower count less than or equal to: 1000

Excluding Bot Accounts

The "Bot (beta)" filter allows you to specify whether to include or exclude bot accounts.

  • Items marked with "(beta)" are automatically determined and estimated by AI, which has been trained using SocialDog's unique algorithms. As this is an automated judgment by machine, the results may sometimes be incorrect.

Excluding Adult Accounts

The "Adult" filter allows you to specify the filter strength (how much adult content is present).

The "Gender," "Age," and "Location" items were deprecated on 2024/5/20.

Regarding "Date Followed" and "Date Followed By You"
  • Data prior to SocialDog registration is not acquired.
  • If you follow and unfollow multiple times, the filter will apply to the date of all follow and unfollow actions.
