What is a Campaign?
A "campaign" in SocialDog is a unit for managing campaign applicants, winners, and candidate winners.
It is acceptable to create multiple campaigns when preparing multiple prizes, even if it differs from the actual campaign.
Choosing a Campaign Type
There are two types of campaigns listed below. Please select the type that matches the campaign you wish to run.
Follow & Repost Campaign
- This is a general campaign where the entry condition is "Follow & Repost."
- Applicants are automatically collected, and you can use campaign features such as applicant management and DM sending.
Entry Conditions (All of the following must be met)
- Repost the target post
- Before starting the campaign, you need to set up a scheduled post as the entry condition using SocialDog's campaign feature.
- Follow the target account
- You can select only one connected account.
Suitable Cases
- You want to set "Follow a specific account" + "Repost a specific post" as the entry condition.
- Target account for following: Only one connected account
- Target post for reposting: Only one post scheduled from SocialDog
Manual Applicant Registration (CSV Import) Campaign
- This method involves creating a CSV file of applicants using SocialDog's CSV download features or external tools, and then importing it into the "Applicants" section of the campaign feature.
- Since you can freely add applicants with a CSV file, it supports campaigns with complex conditions.
Entry Conditions
You can freely combine the following:
- Repost, like, or quote post the target post
- Follow target accounts (multiple allowed)
- Posts containing hashtags or keywords
- Other conditions
- If you can extract usernames of users who meet the entry conditions using external tools, etc.
Suitable Cases
- Complex entry conditions (e.g., hashtag posts, multiple account conditions, specific lists, etc.)
- Follow & Repost campaigns that cannot be handled by the "Follow & Repost Campaign" type
- Such as collaboration campaigns requiring following multiple accounts
- Posts that serve as entry conditions have already been made.
- You want to extract applicants externally and register them in bulk via a CSV file.
- E.g., setting reposts, likes, follows, hashtag posts as conditions.
- You only want to use SocialDog for sending DMs.
Basic Flow for Running a Campaign
- Create a campaign.
- Make campaign posts.
- Collect applicants.
- For Follow & Repost campaigns
- They are collected automatically.
- For other conditions
- You can collect applicants who meet the conditions using features like Keyword Monitor or Post Engagement, and then add them manually.
- By determining whether applicants meet the conditions using Excel or similar tools, you can accommodate flexible entry conditions.
- For Follow & Repost campaigns
- Determine winners from the applicants.
- Send DMs to the winners.
Please refer to the following pages for the steps:
- From campaign creation to applicant collection
- For Follow & Repost campaigns
- For other cases (manual applicant addition)

About Ad Placements
Handling Ad Posts (Promoted Posts)
No data regarding X ad posts (promoted posts) can be retrieved.
Among the posts used as ad creatives, "organic posts" (ad posts = posts not delivered to followers) can be retrieved. However, it's not possible to check the breakdown of metrics like likes between ads and organic posts.
For more information on X ad posts, please refer to Promoted-only Tweets (X Ads Help - English).
Placing Campaign Target Posts as Ads
- Schedule the campaign target post in SocialDog, and after it's posted, specify it as a creative in the X Ads settings.
- You cannot specify the campaign target post as a creative in X Ads beforehand. You need to configure the ad placement after the post has been published via scheduled posting.
