We are running a campaign to manually register applicants.
For campaigns with complex entry requirements (e.g., hashtag posts, combination of multiple conditions), the "Manually Register Entrants" campaign type, which allows bulk registration of entrants via CSV, is convenient.
What you can do with this campaign
- You can manually add entrants by uploading an entrant list as a CSV file.
- Entrant lists can be created within SocialDog.
- You can edit CSV files using tools like Excel to determine if entry requirements are met, allowing for flexible design of entry conditions.
- Data created with external tools can also be utilized.
Examples of supported entry conditions
For example, you can implement the following types of campaigns:
- Hashtag Campaigns
- Posting with a specified hashtag
- Following to enter
- Collaboration Campaigns
- Following multiple accounts
- Reposting/Retweeting a specified post
- Contest Campaigns
- Posting with a specified hashtag or keyword
- Following multiple accounts
Workflow
Before the Campaign Starts
- (Optional) Set up a Keyword Monitor
- If posts containing specific hashtags or keywords are part of the entry requirements, create a Keyword Monitor to collect the necessary posts for entry. For details, please refer to Collecting Posts Containing Keywords (Keyword Monitor).
After the Campaign Ends
- Create a "Manually Register Entrants" type campaign (can be created at any time).
- After the entry period ends, create an entrant list (CSV file).
- Extract users who meet the entry requirements and create a CSV file with one X (formerly Twitter) username per line.
- Import the CSV file to register entrants.
- Conduct a drawing / Adjust winners.
- Send DMs to winners.
Creating a "Manually Register Entrants" type campaign
- From the menu, click Campaigns.

- Click [New Campaign].
- Click [Manually Register Entrants].
- Enter the following information:
- Campaign Name: This is for internal management within SocialDog (not visible to participants).
- Entry Period: Collects users who reposted/retweeted within the specified period as entrants.
- SNS Account for Campaign: Used as the sender for sending DMs.
- Click [Create Campaign].
Preparing the CSV file for entrant import
First, download the data of users who meet the conditions as a CSV file. The download location of the CSV file varies depending on the entry conditions. Next, filter or combine the contents of the CSV file to create a CSV file of entrants who meet all entry requirements.
Downloading CSV files of posts/users containing hashtags/keywords
- You can use the "Keyword Monitor" feature to collect relevant hashtags and download entrant information as a CSV file.
- You can filter by information contained in the obtained CSV file (e.g., post content, post date/time, follower count).
For details, refer to Collecting Posts Containing Keywords (Keyword Monitor).
Downloading CSV files of users who liked, reposted, or quote reposted a target post
- You can use the "Post Interactions" feature to get a list of users who liked, reposted/retweeted, or quote reposted/quote tweeted a specific post.
- You can filter by information contained in the obtained CSV file (e.g., quote repost content, post date/time, follow date/time, follower count).
For details, refer to Checking and Reacting to Users Who Interacted with Posts.
Downloading CSV files of users who followed a target account
- You can download a CSV file of followers/following lists for accounts linked to SocialDog.
- You can filter by information contained in the obtained CSV file (e.g., follow date/time, follower count).
For details, refer to Managing Followers.
CSV files downloadable from SocialDog's "Inbox," "Followers," and "Post Interactions" might be usable as entrant lists without further processing.
It is smoother to extract only posts within the entry period using a spreadsheet application (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and then compile them into a CSV file.
Creating a CSV file of only users who met all entry requirements
Integrate data for each entry requirement into a single file, exclude users who do not meet all entry requirements, and create the final entrant list.
CSV file format
- Each line should represent one user.
- The CSV file should only include usernames. It is acceptable whether or not the
@symbol is included at the beginning. - The text encoding format should be Shift-JIS or UTF-8.
Importing entrants via CSV file
- On the campaign's entrant list screen, click [Import CSV File].
- Follow the on-screen instructions to select the CSV file for import.
- Click [Import CSV File].
If you import a CSV file when entrants are already registered, existing "Entrants" will be deleted. The contents of the "Winners" and "Winner Candidates" lists will not be updated.
A maximum of 10,000 users can be imported per single operation.
