Manually register participants for Contests
If you wish to conduct Contests with complex entry requirements (e.g., Hashtag Posts, combinations of multiple conditions, etc.), the "Manually Register Participants" type of Contests, which allows you to register participants in bulk via CSV, is convenient.
What you can do with this type of Contest
- You can manually Add participants by uploading a CSV file of the participant list.
- The participant list can be created in SocialDog.
- You can flexibly design entry requirements, as you can edit the CSV file using tools like Excel and determine whether the entry requirements are met.
- Data created with external tools can also be used.
Examples of corresponding entry requirements
For example, you can conduct the following Contests:
- Hashtag Contests
- Posts with specified Hashtags
- Follow to enter
- Collaboration Contests
- Following multiple Accounts
- Reposts of specified Posts
- Contest Contests
- Posts with specified Hashtags or keywords
- Following multiple Accounts
How to Proceed

- Send DMs to winners
Creating a "Manually Register Participants" type of Contest

- Click [New Contests].
- Click [Manually Register Participants].
- Enter the following information:
- Contest Name: This is for internal management in SocialDog (not displayed to participants).
- Entry Period: Collects users who Reposted within the set period as participants.
- Social profile for holding the Contest: Used as the sender for DM delivery.

Preparing the CSV file for importing participants
First, download the data of users who meet the conditions in a CSV file. The location to download the CSV file varies depending on the entry requirements.
Next, narrow down and combine the contents of the CSV file to create a CSV file of participants who meet the entry requirements.
Download CSV file of Posts and users containing Hashtags and keywords
- You can collect the relevant Hashtags using the "Keyword Monitor" function and download participant information as a CSV file.
- You can filter by information included in the downloaded CSV file (Post content, Post time, Followers count, etc.).
For details, refer to Collect Posts containing keywords (Keyword Monitor).
Download CSV file of users who Liked, Reposted, or quoted Reposted the target Post
- With the "Post engagement" function, you can get a list of users who Liked, Reposted, or quoted Reposted a specific Post.
- You can filter by information included in the downloaded CSV file (content of quoted Reposts, Post time, Followed time, Followers count, etc.).
For details, refer to Check and react to users who reacted to a Post.
Download CSV file of users who Followed the target Account
- You can download a CSV file of the Follow and Followers list for Accounts Linked to SocialDog.
- You can filter by information included in the downloaded CSV file (Followed time, Followers count, etc.).
For details, refer to Manage Followers.
CSV files downloadable from SocialDog's "Inbox", "Followers", and "Post engagement" may be usable as participant lists without processing.
It is smoother to extract only Posts within the entry period using a spreadsheet (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.) and then consolidate them into a CSV file.
Create a CSV file containing only users who meet All entry requirements
Integrate data for each entry requirement into a single file, exclude users who do not meet All entry requirements, and create the final participant list.
CSV file format
- Each line should contain one user.
- The CSV file should only include usernames. It is fine whether or not you include
@at the beginning. - The text encoding format should be Shift-JIS or UTF-8.
Importing participants with a CSV file
- On the participant list screen for the Contest, click [Import CSV file].
- Select the CSV file for import according to the on-screen instructions.
- Click [Import CSV file].
If you import a CSV file when participants are already registered, existing "participants" will be deleted. The contents of the "winners" and "potential winners" lists will not be updated.
You can import up to 10,000 users at a time.
