If you want to run campaigns with complex entry requirements (e.g., hashtag posts, combinations of multiple conditions), the "Manually Register Entrants" campaign type, which allows you to register entrants in bulk via CSV, is convenient.

What You Can Do with This Campaign

  • You can manually add entrants by uploading an entrant list as a CSV file.
    • Entrant lists can be created in SocialDog.
    • You can edit CSV files with tools like Excel to determine whether entrants meet the entry requirements, allowing for flexible design of entry conditions.
    • Data created with external tools can also be utilized.

Examples of Supported Entry Requirements

For example, you can run campaigns like the following:

  • Hashtag Campaign
    • Posts with specified hashtags
    • Follow and enter
  • Collaboration Campaign
    • Following multiple accounts
    • Reposting specified posts
  • Contest Campaign
    • Posts with specified hashtags or keywords
    • Following multiple accounts

How to Proceed

Before the Campaign Starts

  1. (Optional) Configure Keyword Monitor
    1. If posts containing specific hashtags or keywords are entry requirements, create a Keyword Monitor to collect necessary posts for entry in advance. For details, please refer to Collecting Posts Containing Keywords (Keyword Monitor).

After the Campaign Ends

  1. Create a "Manually Register Entrants" campaign type (can be created at any time).
  2. After the entry period ends, create an entrant list (CSV file).
    • Extract users who met the entry requirements and create a CSV file with one X (Twitter) username per line.
  3. Import the CSV file to register entrants.
  4. Conduct a lottery / Adjust winners.
  5. Send DMs to winners.

Creating a "Manually Register Entrants" Campaign

  1. From the menu, click Campaigns.
  2. Click [New Campaign].
  3. Click [Manually Register Entrants].
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Campaign Name: This is for internal management within SocialDog (not displayed to participants).
    • Entry Period: Users who reposted within the set period will be collected as entrants.
    • SNS Account to Host Campaign: Used as the sender when sending DMs.
  5. Click [Create Campaign].

Preparing the CSV File for Entrant Import

First, download data of users who meet the conditions as a CSV file. The download location of the CSV file varies depending on the entry requirements.

Next, narrow down or combine the contents of the CSV file to create a CSV file of entrants who meet the entry requirements.

Downloading CSV Files of Posts/Users Containing Hashtags/Keywords

  • You can collect relevant hashtags using the "Keyword Monitor" feature and download entrant information as a CSV file.
  • You can filter by information contained in the downloaded CSV file (e.g., post content, post date/time, follower count).

Downloading CSV Files of Users Who Liked, Reposted, or Quote-Reposted Specific Posts

  • You can obtain a list of users who liked, reposted, or quote-reposted a specific post using the "Post Reactions" feature.
  • You can filter by information contained in the downloaded CSV file (e.g., quote repost content, post date/time, follow date/time, follower count).

Downloading CSV Files of Users Who Followed the Target Account

  • You can download a list of followers and followings for accounts linked with SocialDog as a CSV file.
  • You can filter by information contained in the downloaded CSV file (e.g., follow date/time, follower count).
tip

For details, please refer to Managing Followers.

tip

CSV files downloaded from SocialDog's "Inbox," "Followers," and "Post Reactions" may sometimes be usable as entrant lists without further processing.

It is smoother to extract only posts within the entry period using a spreadsheet (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and then compile them into a CSV file.

Creating a CSV File Containing Only Users Who Met All Entry Requirements

Integrate data for each entry requirement into a single file, exclude users who did not meet all entry requirements, and then create the final list of entrants.

CSV File Format

  • Each line should represent one user.
  • The CSV file should contain only usernames. Including or excluding the leading @ is acceptable.
  • The text encoding format should be Shift-JIS or UTF-8.

Importing Entrants via CSV File

  1. On the campaign's entrant list screen, click [Import CSV File].
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to select the CSV file for import.
  3. Click [Import CSV File].
warning

If you import a CSV file while entrants are already registered, existing "entrants" will be deleted. The contents of the "winners" and "potential winners" lists will not be updated.

tip

You can import up to 10,000 users at a time.
