Run a Follow & Repost Campaign.

Users who have both followed a specified X (formerly Twitter) account and reposted (retweeted) a specified post can be automatically collected as "entrants."

What This Campaign Can Do

  • Automatically collects users who meet the entry criteria (following the target account and reposting the target post).
tip

Unless it is a typical follow & repost campaign, please use the "Manually Register Entrants" campaign. For details, refer to Choosing Campaign Types | Overview of X (formerly Twitter) Campaign Features.

Workflow

Before the Campaign Starts

  1. Create a Follow & Repost Campaign

When the Campaign Starts

  1. Scheduled posts will be automatically published, and entrants will begin to be collected.

During and After the Campaign

  1. Verify Entrants
  2. Determine Winners
  3. Send direct messages (DMs) to winners to notify them

Creating a Follow & Repost Campaign

  1. From the menu, click Campaigns.
  2. Click [New Campaign].
  3. Click [Follow & Repost Campaign].
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Campaign Name: This is for internal management within SocialDog (not visible to participants).
    • Entry Period: Users who repost within the set period will be collected as entrants.
    • Entry Conditions
      • Target Social Media Account
        • Only accounts linked to SocialDog can be selected as accounts to be followed.
        • Users who have already followed the account as of the entry period start date will also be included.
      • Post to Repost
        • You can select a scheduled post for the target social media account created on SocialDog, or create a new scheduled post.
        • Ad posts cannot be selected.
        • If a thread post is selected, only the first post (1st item) of the thread will be eligible for reposting.
  5. Click [Create Campaign].

Modifying Campaign Settings

  • If settings are edited during the entry period, the entrant list will be updated to reflect users meeting the new conditions. Winners and shortlisted candidates will not be updated.
  • Once the post set as an entry condition is published, entry conditions can no longer be modified. If you wish to conduct the campaign with a different post, please create a new campaign.
  1. From the menu, click Campaigns.
  2. Click [...] at the end of the row for the target campaign.
  3. Click [Edit Campaign].
  4. Configure the desired changes and click [Save].
