Running follow & reposts contests
You can automatically collect users who have both followed a specified X (Twitter) Social profile and reposted a specified Post as "applicants".
What this Contest can do
- Automatically collect users who meet the entry conditions (following the target Account, reposting the target Post).
tip
Unless it is a typical Follow & Repost Contest, please use the "Manually Register Applicants" Contest. For details, please refer to Choosing Contest Types|X (Twitter) Contest Features Overview.
How to Proceed
Before the Contest Starts
- Create a Follow & Repost Contest
When the Contest Starts
- Scheduled Posts are automatically made, and applicants begin to be collected.
During and After the Contest
- Check applicants
- Determine winners
- Send winning notification DMs to winners
Create a Follow & Repost Contest
- From the menu, click Contests.
- Click [New Contest].
- Click [Follow & Repost Contest].
- Enter the following information.
- Contest name: This is for internal management in SocialDog (not displayed to participants).
- Entry period: Users who repost within the set period will be collected as applicants.
- Entry conditions
- Target Social profile
- Only Accounts linked to SocialDog can be selected as target Accounts for following.
- Users who are already Following as of the entry start date are also included.
- Target Post for Reposts
- You can select a scheduled Post for the target Social profile created on SocialDog, or create a new scheduled Post.
- Ad Posts cannot be selected.
- If you select a thread Post, only the first Post (1st item) of the thread will be eligible for Reposts.
- Target Social profile
- Click [Create Contest].
Change Contest Settings
warning
- If you edit settings during the entry period, the applicant list will be updated to a list of users meeting the new conditions. Winners and potential winners will not be updated.
- Once the Post set as an entry condition is published, the entry conditions can no longer be changed. If you want to conduct it with a different Post, please create a new Contest.
- From the menu, click Contests.
- Click [・・・] at the end of the row of the target Contest.
- Click [Edit Contest].
- Set the desired changes and click [Save].
