Running follow & reposts contests

You can automatically collect users as "applicants" who have both followed a specified X (Twitter) Social profile and reposted a specified Post.

What you can do with this Contests​

  • Automatically collect users who meet the application requirements (following the target Account, reposting the target Post).
tip

Unless it's a general Follow & Reposts Contests, please use the "Upload CSV to Register Applicants" Contests. For details, refer to Choose Contests Types | Overview of X (Twitter) Contests Feature.

How to proceed​

Before the Contests starts​

  1. Create a Follow & Reposts Contests

When the Contests starts​

  1. Scheduled Posts will be automatically published, and applicants will start to be collected.

During and after the Contests​

  1. Check applicants
  2. Determine winners
  3. Send DM notifications of winning to winners

Create a Follow & Reposts Contests​

  1. From the menu, click [Contests].
  2. Click [New Contests].
  3. Click [Follow & Reposts Contests].
  4. Enter the following information:
    • Contests Name: This is a name for internal management within SocialDog (not displayed to participants).
    • Application Period: Users who repost within the set period will be collected as applicants.
    • Application Requirements
      • Target Social profile
        • For the Account to Follow, only SocialDog-linked users can be selected.
        • Users who are already Following at the start date of the application period are also included.
      • Post to Repost
        • You can select a scheduled Post from the target Social profile created on SocialDog, or create a new scheduled Post.
        • Advertisement Posts cannot be selected.
        • If you select a thread Post, only the first Post (1st item) of the thread will be eligible for Reposts.
  5. Click [Create Contests].

Change Contests Settings​

  • If you Edit settings during the application period, the applicant list will be Refresh with users who meet the new conditions. Winners and potential winners will not be Refresh.
  • Once the Post set as application requirements is published, the application requirements can no longer be Changed. If you wish to conduct it with a different Post, please create a new Contests.
  1. From the menu, click [Contests].
  2. Click [...] at the end of the row for the target Contests.
  3. Click [Edit Contests].
  4. Set the desired Changes, then click [Save].
