Competitor Summary (X)

The Competitor Summary (Beta) (formerly "Benchmark") allows you to compare metrics of your linked account with those of competitor accounts.

Available Metrics

  • Post Count

  • Post Frequency

  • Follower Count

  • Follower Growth Rate

  • Following Count

    • Engagement (Beta)
      • You can view impressions, engagement, and the breakdown of post counts by type.
  • Social media accounts that cannot be searched cannot be analyzed. Examples of unsearchable social media accounts are as follows:

    • Private accounts
    • Other social media accounts from which SocialDog does not acquire data.

Displaying Competitor Account Information

  1. From the menu, click [Analytics] → Competitor Summary.
  2. In the search bar at the top of the screen, labeled "Search by X (Twitter) Username", enter the target username (starting with @) or click on a competitor account displayed on the screen.
  3. The metric trends of the competitor account will be displayed on the screen.

Adding Competitor Accounts

  1. Display the competitor account by following the steps in "Displaying Competitor Account Information".
  2. Click the "Add to Competitor Accounts" button in the top right corner of the screen.

Comparing Competitor Account Metrics

  1. Add multiple competitor accounts by following the steps in "Adding Competitor Accounts".
  2. When you open [Analytics] → [Competitor Summary], you can view information for multiple competitor accounts.
    • By selecting a competitor account in the "Comparison with Competitor Accounts" table, you can view data only for that account.

Available Analysis Items

  • Comparison with Competitor Accounts
    • Posts: Number of posts on the last day.
    • Post Frequency: Number of posts per day during the period.
    • Followers: Number of followers on the last day.
    • Follower Growth Rate: Number of follower increases per day during the period.
    • Following: Number of accounts followed on the last day.
  • Engagement
    • Posts during period: Number of posts during the period.
    • Post Frequency: Number of posts per day during the period.
    • Impressions: Total number of times posts were shown to users on their timeline or in search results.
    • Public Engagement: Sum of replies, likes, reposts, quote posts, and bookmarks.
    • Public Engagement per Post: Public engagement per post.
    • Public Engagement per Impression: Public engagement per impression.
    • Likes: Total number of times users liked a post.
    • Replies: Total number of times users replied to a post.
    • Reposts: Total number of times users reposted a post.
    • Quote Posts: Total number of times users quote-posted a post.
    • Bookmarks: Total number of times users bookmarked a post.
    • Original Posts: Number of posts that are not replies or reposts from your account.
    • Replies from you: Number of replies from your account.
    • Reposts from you: Number of reposts (retweets) from your account.
    • Posts without media: Number of posts that do not include media (images, videos, GIFs).
    • Posts with images: Number of posts that include images. This does not include posts that contain media other than images.
    • Posts with videos: Number of posts that include videos. This does not include posts that contain media other than videos.
    • Posts with GIFs: Number of posts that include GIFs. This does not include posts that contain media other than GIFs.
    • Posts with multiple media types: Number of posts that include multiple types of media among images, videos, and GIFs.
  • Followers (Graph): Trend of follower counts for your account and competitor accounts.
  • Net Follower Growth (Graph): Daily net follower growth for your account and competitor accounts (new followers minus unfollows).
  • Following (Graph): Trend of following counts for your account and competitor accounts.
  • Net Following Growth (Graph): Daily net following growth for your account and competitor accounts (new follows minus unfollows).
  • Posts (Graph): Cumulative post count for your account and competitor accounts.
  • Net Post Growth (Graph): Daily post count for your account and competitor accounts.
tip

Even if you change the display unit (monthly, weekly, daily), the units for "Post Frequency" and "Follower Growth Rate" do not change. The display unit (monthly, weekly, daily) only affects graphs.

Sorting Data

  • By selecting a table header row, you can sort the data in that column in ascending or descending order.
    • When sorting by "Social Media Account", your social media account will be displayed in the first row, and competitor accounts will be displayed from the second row onwards in the order they were registered.

Removing from Competitor Accounts

  1. From the menu, click [Analytics] → Competitor Summary.
  2. In the "Comparison with Competitor Accounts" table, click on the competitor account you wish to delete.
  3. Click [Remove from Competitor Accounts].
