Connecting Your Threads Account

Connect a Threads Account

  1. Click the icon in the bottom left.
  2. Click on "Social profiles".
  3. Click "Connect a social profile."
    • If you have reached the maximum number of SNS accounts, an "Upgrade" screen will appear. In this case, please change your plan.
  4. A screen to select the SNS account to add will appear. Click "Threads Account."
  5. The Threads login screen will appear. Log in with the account you want to connect.
  6. The Threads authentication screen will appear. Review the content and click the "Continue as (username)" button.
  7. If you linked the account on your smartphone, please return to the SocialDog screen and reload the page.

Due to Threads (Meta) security features, SocialDog needs to periodically reconnect to your account in order to access data through the API.

Cases Where Reconnection Is Required

  • If you do not reconnect within 60 days, the connection will be disconnected and you will not be able to schedule posts. When the reconnection deadline approaches, you will receive notifications on the SocialDog screen and via email, so please check them.

  • Additionally, reconnection will be required if SocialDog adds new features that require additional access permissions from Threads (Meta).

The deadline for reconnection may change due to Threads (Meta) specifications.

 


If Threads Connection Does Not Work on Android Devices

When trying to connect from an Android device, the Threads app may launch during the process, preventing connection.

In that case, please try connecting from a computer or iOS device.

If you want to connect from an Android device, please try the following:

  1. Open Android settings.
  2. Go to Apps → Threads → Open by default.
  3. Change the relevant link setting to "Don't open" or "In browser."
  4. Try the SocialDog Threads connection again.
